There are 3 ways you can pay.
Direct Debit
To set up a regular payment:
From the menu, go to My profile then Account fee settings. Choose ‘Pay from my bank account’.
Debit card
- Log in to your account.
- From the left-hand menu go to Payments and add cash under Single payments
From your cash in your account
If you hold cash in your account we can take it from there.
If you do not have a Direct Debit set up and there's not enough cash in your account, we will sell units from your funds. We will get in touch and give you 6 working days to make a payment before we sell sufficient units. We start with your largest mutual fund holding.
How to change the way you pay
Log in to your account.
From the left-hand menu, go to 'My profile'.
Choose 'Account fee settings'.
If there is a fee in your account that is unpaid, withdrawals will not be allowed until it is cleared.
If you manage your own investments
If you have multiple accounts, such as a General Account, pension and an ISA. We take fees from the General Account before the other types of account so you can make the most of your tax allowances.
The General Account should be opened before your pension fee is due, or we will take your first 3 months of fees from that account. The next 3 months of fees, and ongoing, will come from your General Account.
If you have an ISA you can open a General Account to pay your fees from after the ISA account has been opened.
If we manage your investments for you
The account fee and the management fee will be deducted from the account we manage for you. We don’t collect fees for accounts we manage from a General Account
We will no longer take your account fee only from your General Account, if you have one, instead we will take it from all the accounts you have, in proportion to their invested balances.
Example of how this could affect you
You have 2 accounts with a total invested balance of £10,000:
£5,000 in a General Account and £5,000 in an ISA.
No Direct Debit set up to pay your fees.
From 31 January 2025, we’ll take half from one account and half from the other.
