Vanguard has been named a Which? Recommended Provider for Investment Platforms for a fifth consecutive year. We are, naturally, over the moon.

Which? said Vanguard represented “very good value for money for investors across all portfolio sizes”. This is after it surveyed thousands of investors and compared a total of 18 different platforms. We also received a full five stars for data on investment performance.

In presenting the results, Which? highlighted the inertia that was stopping many investors from potentially saving hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds each year, by switching provider. It cited the feedback of many respondents who felt resigned to poor service and high fees when they didn’t have to be.

The table below is based on Which?’s summary of Vanguard’s “very low fees”. It includes our new Managed ISA1, which allows you to kick back and relax while our experts choose and manage your investments for you, based on your risk appetite.

Please note that Which? excluded individual fund costs to ensure better like-for-like comparisons since few platform providers are also fund managers. Based on that, it may be worth asking yourself how our fees compare with those of your current provider.

Vanguard annual and trading charges

  • 0.15% annual account fee (no fee for amounts above £250,000)
  • Managed ISAs cost 0.3% on top of the account fees
  • No charge for switching or selling funds
  • No charge for transferring in or out

Getting a fifth straight Which? endorsement underlines how much investors appreciate our commitment to helping them reach their goals. It also shows how much they value the wide range of choices we provide to access world markets and invest for their futures through straightforward low-cost funds and services.

It’s not just about how little they pay but also about the quality of their experiences with us. We will work hard to retain that trust and promise to continue improving.

The recent launch of our Managed ISA, which costs a total of 0.6% a year once you add on fund fees, is evidence of that. But we also want to improve the client experience in other ways with better online tools.

To that end, we would like to thank the thousands of investors who have already provided us with feedback as we look to deliver a mobile app in the future.

We’ve been standing up for investors since 1975 and we have no plans to ever sit down.
