How does your pension finding service work?


Our free pension finding service searches for any workplace or personal pension scheme(s) or arrangement(s) you may have. You don't have to be an existing Vanguard customer to use the service.

If you have started a pension finding request and have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at vanguard@myraindrop.co.uk

Depending on your pension provider, it could take up to 8 weeks or longer to find your pension once you have submitted a request. We will keep you updated throughout.

When signing up for the service, you access a separate pension finding dashboard not linked to your Vanguard account. We use a company called Raindrop to help us deliver the pension finding service.

The service does not cover the following scenarios for pensions:

  • still active - you are receiving or being credited with regular monetary payments or contributions to it
  • public sector employment(s)
  • an employment period of 3 months or less
  • an employment period of less than 2 years before the year 2000
  • you were younger than 22 years old at the end of your employment
  • employment before 1990

If we find your pension, you will have the option to transfer it to Vanguard if you think it's right for you.
