Yes, you can have multiple pensions. Including:
defined benefit schemes (such as final salary schemes)
defined contribution schemes (SIPPs, stakeholder, workplace or personal pensions)
The Vanguard Personal Pension is a Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP)
There is a limit on how much you can pay into all your pensions in total. This is the annual allowance. For most people it is £60,000 or 100% of your earnings, whichever is lower.
