What is the Vanguard UK Personal Investor Platform?
The UK Personal Investor Platform is a digital offering, providing retail clients with comprehensive features and a range of products, including these accounts:
- ISA
- Junior ISA
- Personal Pension (SIPP)
- General Account
It is designed with a wide target market of investors in mind.
We offer 2 services on the UK Personal Investor Platform:
- Self-managed – you choose and manage your investments
- Managed – we manage investments for you, based upon your attitude to risk. This is not an advisory service
Our accounts - requirements and features
A summary of specific requirements and features relating to the accounts offered on the UK Personal Investor Platform.
To open any of our accounts your must be:
- aged 18 or over
- UK resident and UK tax resident
Stocks and Shares Individual Savings Account
Services: Self-managed and managed
For investors who:
- want to invest in a tax efficient way
- want to access their money without restriction
- can invest up to the annual ISA allowance*
* ISA annual allowance is £20,000 for the tax year 2024/25. This may change in the future.
Stocks and Shares Junior Individual Savings Account
Services: Self-managed
Parents or guardians must have legal responsibility for the child (under the age of 18, UK resident and who does not already have a Child Trust Fund).
For parent or guardians who:
- want to invest in a tax efficient way for the child
- understand the money belongs to the child, who cannot access or make withdrawals until they are 18
- can invest up to the annual Junior ISA allowance*
*Junior ISA annual allowance is £9,000 for the tax year 2024-25. This may change in the future.
A self-invested personal pension scheme
Services: Self-managed and managed
For investors who:
- want to invest in a tax efficient way for retirement
- understand withdrawals are not typically possible under the minimum pension age of 55 (57 from 2028)
- can invest up to any applicable pension allowances
Services: Self-managed
For investors who:
- want to access their money without restriction
- understand any tax liabilities which may arise
